Hosting Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This AUP protects WebGiant’s infrastructure, customers and third parties and applies to hosting, email, domains, cloud, backup and related services supplied by WebGiant.

2. Prohibited activity

  • Malware distribution, phishing, credential theft, botnets, unauthorised intrusion, DDoS activity or deliberate circumvention of security controls.
  • Unlawful content or activity, including content that WebGiant is legally required to remove or restrict.
  • Spam or unsolicited bulk messaging that violates applicable electronic-marketing laws or provider rules.
  • Open relays, abusive scripts, cryptomining or workloads that materially degrade shared services unless expressly authorised.
  • Hosting or distributing stolen credentials, payment-card data obtained unlawfully, or personal data processed without a lawful basis.
  • Copyright/trademark infringement after a valid notice has been assessed, subject to applicable law and process.
  • Attempting to access other customers’ accounts, data or resources.

3. Resource and security controls

WebGiant may apply reasonable quotas, rate limits, malware controls, IP blocking and other measures necessary to preserve service stability and security. Material repeated abuse may require an upgraded service or remediation plan.

4. Suspension and emergency action

WebGiant may take immediate proportionate action where continued operation creates a serious security, legal or service risk. Where circumstances allow, WebGiant will notify the client, preserve relevant evidence, and provide a reasonable path to remediation.
